To make icewine, the grapes are left on the vine until after the first frost. The grapes must be picked late in the year- after November 15; early in the day- before 10 am; and temperatures must not be higher than minus 8°C. At this temperature the grapes are frozen and are as hard as marbles. When the grapes are in their frozen state they are pressed. This leaves a highly concentrated juice, very high in acids, sugars and aromatics. This tea celebrates the flavour of icewine and is a lovely complement to any meal.
Available in a 24 teabag (52 g) tin. Ingredients: Luxury black tea from Sri Lanka, natural flavors, icewine.
